CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT - Gŵyl Fach Y Fro

The safety of our customers, our audience, tutors, volunteers and staff are always our priority.

As a result we have taken the decision to cancel Gŵyl Fach Y Fro this year.

Chief Executive of Menter Iaith Bro Morgannwg Manon Rees-O’Brien said “It’s hugely disappointing and a time of anxiety for all. Although our aspiration is to provide opportunities to bring people together to celebrate the Welsh language, with the current and future uncertainty and we have decided to cancel Gŵyl Fach Y Fro for this year.”

We have also postponed all Menter Iaith Bro Morgannwg’s weekly clubs and activities until further notice.

The staff are in regular contact with The Vale of Glamorgan Council and The Welsh Government in order to be able to offer support to communities across the capital city amidst this current crisis. We are following all current UK Government advice in relation to consideration of COVID-19.

Naturally we are monitoring on a daily basis any update to relevant advice and if revised guidance is issued by the relevant authorities, we will respond and action immediately.
